This is an injection-plastic kit of a science-fiction/anime item. Protagonist Spike Spiegel's beloved Swordfish II from the classic anime "Cowboy Bebop" gets a new "MODEROID DX-SCALE" plastic model-kit series from Good Smile Company! This model kit is 1/48 scale, and is easy to assemble; the parts are molded in color with some pre-painted parts, so it'll be easy to recreate this iconic spaceship's look from the anime just by assembling it. The spacecraft's refined form has been thoroughly recreated under the supervision of mechanical designer Kimitoshi Yamane. Metal parts are used for some portions of the main wings; the folding mechanism and the swiveling ailerons have been carefully recreated. The landing gear can be stored and deployed, and the plasma cannon can be swiveled and retracted. The cockpit unit can be detached, and its canopy can be opened and closed. Two versions of the cockpit unit are included: a pre-painted version, and a clear version for those who enjoy painting parts! The air brake in the engine compartment can be displayed open or closed. Unpainted figures of Spike Spiegel and Ein are included; one seated figure of Spike that can be seated in the cockpit is included, as well as a standing figure.
